I bought the Canon HV20 this summer when I was in Seattle to make a short movie, guided by good reviews about the cinema mode and the good quality on the colors and, of course, the good prize for a camera which film at 24p in high definition. And the truth is that the camera does its job, the colors are great and filming at 24p with the cinema mode gives your movies a real movie look-like. The image will get a little grainy when you film in dark places, as usually happens with digital cameras and the image stabilizer doesn't work as good as you may expect. And besides the audio is not very good you can add an external microphone to make it better.

Pros: The cinema mode, the prize for a 24p high definition camera

Cons: Grainy image in dark places, you need a external software to remove pulldown when you film at 24p
